Hi Perumal,

It is probably lost forever :( - Although Google surely have backups somewhere I doubt you will get them to help you. Gmail is free and is used at the owners risk. There has been a huge outage in 2006 - information here: http://www.oreillynet.com/xml/blog/2006/12/gmail_disaster_google_confirme.html

Gmail has also lost e-mails from my account in November 2007. http://n0comment.wordpress.com/2007/11/19/gmail-lost-my-mail-after-upgrading-service/
This is why I keep a personal backup (all incoming mail is redirected to Yahoo automatically) A message to all readers DO NOT RELY ON GMAIL OR ANY OTHER WEBMAIL SERVICE - ALWAYS KEEP A BACKUP!!!!

Hi! André H.,
I found you as I was searching for an answer to my questions:
"Where is all my 'stuff' stored that I put in Gmail?" "Why do I keep getting more storage space?" "Why do I receive 'spam' on subjects that appear in my Subject line of my outgoing emails, or is that just a coincidence?"

My son is a programmer/developer but he is getting tired of all my questions. Sometimes he just tells me, "I don't know, Mom. Why don't you research it?" So here I am, researching. I will understand if you do not wish to respond to my queries.
