I am getting some easy to resist advertising deals offered ;) for andreinchile.com

These are two easy to resist ad offers I received in the past days:

Hi, I will give you $25 (they did not tell me for how long – per day? per month? for ever?) in exchange for placing a text ad for an international calls provider on this page: Sorry Vodafone I am using your free Minutes to call abroad for free Please let me know if you are interested. Thanks, Stephanie

The next resistable offer I received:

Hello. I`m Becky Phillips, Marketing Director at sunshine.co.uk. I`ve just been searching for potential partners and having seen your website andreinchile.com I thought I`d drop you a line to see if you would be interested in a relationship with our site sunshine.co.uk. We are a pure play online travel agency, catering for the UK consumer looking for cheap holidays in the sun. . We had a couple of ideas which I hope you will find useful:- 1) We can have our editorial team research and hand write some content for you to add to a page on andreinchile.com. We will agree a subject with you that is relevant to both of our sites (it won`t be a sales pitch for us!) and will include a single simple text link back to a relevant content page on our site. The content will be uniquely written for you and will not be re-used elsewhere. It should be helpful to your visitors and of course the search engines, as will the presence of a relevant link back to us. Hopefully we will also benefit from the link in the longer term. – OR – 2) We can exchange links with you, directly from a relevant content page on sunshine.co.uk. We will explain where links are located on our site (on properly indexed and ranked pages) when you reply – we don`t have a links page as such – we link from the most relevant page to each partner. There are of course no costs for you associated with either approach. *** IMPORTANT – PLEASE USE OUR RESPONSE PAGE IF POSSIBLE *** We have found that quite a few emails go missing — plus I`m either out or in meetings much of the time and can take a while to reply to emails — so we have created a simple and quick-to-use response page that provides detailed information and answers to questions on the various options and allows you to send us messages . . and much more! You can access it here:- Page: http://www.sunshine.co.uk/SS-IRS-Response.html Well well seems all they want is a link to boost their Page Rank on Google.

I am NOT interested – thanks!!! Do you get those offers? What do you do with them. Reply, trash or do you agree to those deals?

  1. I have never gotten one like that!! I get lots of offers in my email to help people transfer inheritances… all I have to do is send me credit info.

  2. Yeah, I’ve received the sunshine “offer” and the same exact text from a “selfcatering” company. It felt spam the first time and more so after receiving the same exact email from another “company”. This may be a template sent from some SEO program, and the business *may* be legimate, don’t know… but I guess it’s best to stay far away from it!

  3. Jani,

you might be right with the template.
For sure if you care about page rank it is better to stay away from it. If you link to a site which is flagged at Google to be spammy Google punishes you.

i don’t see any benefit in the sunshine offer what so ever. only loss of potential google juice aka page rank.
